A message from the organisers of this year’s Charter Fair:

Charter fair poster5The new organiser’s of the 2015 are working away on plans to make this summer’s Northleach Charter Fair & Music Festival  the best ever. This will be the event’s third year in its venue on the King George V playing fields and the day is closer than you think!

The date to put in your diary is:
Saturday 27 June 2015
11 am to 11 pm

There is still time and space for stallholders, exhibitors and those wishing to promote their services, products or charities to sign up. Please contact Joyce Hiller on e-mail charterfair@hotmail.co.uk to receive details on how and where to sign up.

Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Photograph

Northleach celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a community photograph taken in the Market Place. The Charter Fair was in full swing and despite the rain, hundreds gathered as Heather from Chadwick Photography captured the scene from the upper window of The Ox House. There are lots of familiar faces so why not order a Northleach memento of the Diamond Jubilee? The photo is available in the optimum view size of 9 x 6” and can be purchased either in a cardboard presentation folder at £12 or in a simple protective sleeve at £10. A presentation copy will be available to view at The Post Office.

You can order copies by email, phone or in person. The Town Council office is co-ordinating this so please contact them through this page – stating your contact details and whether you would like a plain or a presentation copy.

Please then hand in payment (payable to Chadwick Photography) to the Town Council Offices at the Westwoods. Alternatively you can call the office on 01451 861499 or visit us at the Westwoods Centre and place the order along with payment.

All orders must be placed by the end of September. We are delighted that 40% of the profits made will go towards a Jubilee fund to benefit the residents of Northleach with Eastington!

QUEENS DIAMOND JUBILEE
A community photograph to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee will take place on the afternoon of the Charter Fair on Saturday 30th June in the Market Place at 2pm. Local photographers, Dean from Fat Beagle Photography and Heather from Chadwick Photography will organise the group photo. Everyone is welcome. Why not dress in red, white and blue or make a statement in a 1950’s outfit? Details on how to order photographs, including those of the Jubilee Northleach in Bloom floral displays will follow.

TOWN COUNCILLOR VACANCY
Following Cllr Patrick Sanders move to Cheltenham, the Town Council are looking for a new Town Councillor. QUESTION OF THE MONTH?
We are asked lots of questions about our community. This month we have had many enquiries about grass and hedge cutting. In Northleach we have a main grass cutting contractor and in addition Highways, Cotswold District Council, Bromford Housing, local businesses and residents are responsible for other areas. The result is that the spaces are not all cut on the same day or by the same people. If you have any queries about grass or hedge cutting, please contact us for clarification.

Northleach Charter Fair 2010 – 26th June 2010

The Charter Fair will be held, as usual, on the last Saturday in June  (26th) in the Market Square and (hopefully) the Cotswold Hall.

If you are interested in taking a stall to promote your business,  services or raise funds for a club or charity, do let me know so that   I can get an initial idea of numbers.  I’ll send out booking forms for  final confirmations in April.  Alternatively, if you’d be happy to  help in another way such as providing raffle prizes, selling raffle tickets, refreshments or providing entertainment we’d be equally happy  to hear from you.

Please also feel free to forward this email as an invitation to anyone  you think might be interested in joining in.
