Grants available for local organisations

Grants are currently available through the Town Council’s community grant scheme, with the aim of benefiting worthy community, voluntary and charitable organisations who are active in the local area. These grants offer local groups and organisations a chance to easily access much needed funding to make the parish an even better place to live and work. Grants can help fund new projects, equipment, events or training.

To be eligible for funding, applicants must meet the criteria set out on the application form. For example, evidence must be shown that the service the applicant provides is needed by the community and that it has community support. The full list of requirements can be found in the scheme terms and conditions.

The agreed budget for the award of grants and donations is currently £2,000 for the financial year 2023-24. In exceptional circumstances, larger awards could be considered, but this would require forward planning to write the amount into the council’s annual budget.
