The Old A40 has been closed by Highways again. The road has been monitored on a regular basis since it reopened but several cracks have appeared this week. Highways had already planned to close the road for monitoring over the Winter months as this is when most movement seems to occur. They have also been working on a plan to stabilise the site with work due to begin in Spring next year. We are expecting an update from Highways and will communicate it to you then.
