Historical Society Talk – Woodchester Mansion

Woodchester Mansion is a remarkable Grade I listed Victorian Gothic mansion hidden in a stunning Cotswold valley – and the Historical Society will be visiting it in June. In our first talk of 2023 Liz Davenport, the Woodchester Mansion archivist, tells us how the wealthy William Leigh came to Woodchester, how his mansion was designed by a young local architect, Benjamin Bucknall – and why it was never finished.
Why not come and join us! Members pay £12 a year, £22 for couples at the same address. Visitors are welcome at £3 per talk.
