Charter Fair – Saturday 26th June 2010

The Charter Fair is now less than a week away!!

All stalls will be in the Market Square this year, weather permitting, but we have kept a booking for the Cotswold Hall in case of downpours.  The Church is also open to visitors, with displays of the church’s work and the chance to visit the tiny priest’s room above the porch, normally closed to the public.

The fair will start at 12 noon, sharp, with Chloe the Town Crier and a performance by children from the primary school.  We’ll also announce the winner of the Charter Fair Sausage Competition:  the finished sausages will be available to buy from WJ Castle and on the fantastic barbecue provided by the cricket club.    We have some lovely craft, jewellery and food stalls as well as paintings from Chris Fothergill and the usual array of games and charity stalls, including the chance to sign up for the Welly Walk (to be held at 7pm).  The fairground will be there and the fire engine will be along.  Entertainment is being provided by “On the Ropes”.   There are great raffle prizes (to be drawn at 4:30pm) and both the Wheatsheaf and Sherborne Arms are hosting live music in the evening.

We hope that the sun will shine on us and everyone in Northleach will come out to enjoy the fun with friends, neighbours and visitors!
