Northleach with Eastington Town Council is looking for an Admin Officer to join our team.

Hours: 15 per week

Starting salary: Starting salary of SCP 13 £14.60 per hour (pay award pending)

This is a part-time, permanent position, reporting to the Town Clerk. Responsibilities include managing allotment tenancies, bookings for council buildings, the cemetery, and burials. This job is varied and hands-on, requiring travel around the parish to inspect property, meet contractors, or attend council or committee meetings, which will involve some evening work.

The ideal candidate is well organised with good attention to detail, competent with IT inc. Word and Excel, and an excellent communicator with experience in a customer-facing role. Experience as a parish clerk or a working knowledge of council procedures is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

We’re Hiring: Westwoods Caretaker

Do you have some time you could give to support the community? Northleach with Eastington Town Council is looking for part-time paid Caretaker to help us look after the Westwoods Centre.

Hours: 8 – 10 hours per week with scope to grow the role

Place: The Westwoods Centre, Bassett Road, Northleach GL54 3QJ

Salary: £12.85 – £13.47 per hour (SCP 5-8)

Local Government pay and conditions, including 25 days of paid holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities include opening and closing the building, making sure heating, lighting, and alarm systems are working properly, setting up equipment for hirers, and generally looking after the building so we can continue to offer a great facility for the community. We would also look favourably on a job share.

Community Hall Cleaner Required

Join our team! We’re looking for a reliable cleaner to keep our community centre in top condition. Duties include cleaning floors, surfaces, and facilities to ensure a welcoming environment for all users. Typically this would take 2 hours per week, with extra hours after a large function. There is some flexibility about hours to be worked.

The contract would best suit a self-employed person who takes pride in their work and has their own insurance. Cleaning materials provided. Hourly rate to be agreed.

The ideal candidate can work independently, is physically fit for moving furniture, has general building maintenance skills, and a desire to help people.

Administration Officer Job Vacancy

Hours: 12 per week

Starting salary: SCP 14-16 – £25,409 to £26,357 pa pro rata

We have an opportunity for a community-focused individual to join our team as the Administration Officer, helping to ensure the smooth operation of local services.

This is a part-time, permanent position, reporting to the Town Clerk. Responsibilities include managing allotment tenancies, cemetery burials and deeds, and general administrative support to the Town Council. This job is varied and hands-on, requiring travel around the parish to complete inspections, meet contractors, or attend meetings of the council and committees, which will involve some evening work.

This is a customer facing role, and you would need to be confident in dealing with people from all sectors of the community. The ideal candidate can work independently and has excellent organisational and IT skills. Some experience of local government and/or the bereavement industry would be desirable, although not essential as training will be provided.

Job Opportunity Grants and Outreach Officer

Cotswolds National Landscape is advertising for an exciting new role; Grants & Outreach Officer. The role is perfect for someone looking to make their first step into the environmental sector. The successful candidate will co-lead Caring for the Cotswolds; their in house small grants scheme, work on improving access for communities inside and outside the Cotswolds and gain valuable skills and experience by working with their conservation and education teams. The job starts in April 2023 and is a one year fixed contract until March 2024.

The role is one of 70 new jobs nationwide and is part of the ‘New to Nature’ scheme led by Groundwork UK. The scheme aims to increase the diversity of young people (18-25) entering the environmental sector. As such, they are particularly interested in receiving applications from young people who are from ethnically diverse backgrounds, who are living with a disability, or are from low income households. This role requires no previous experience, as a full training programme will be offered.
