The Town Council recognises that parking in Market Place and the Green remains a concern for many residents and continues to be a regular topic of discussion at Council meetings. 🚗
We are currently working with Gloucestershire Highways and other specialists to explore options that could help address some of the key issues around safety and parking. Once proposals are developed, residents will be fully consulted before any decisions are made.
In the meantime, while longer-term solutions are being considered, we kindly ask residents, wherever possible, to use private driveways or off-street parking, particularly for vehicles not in regular daily use.
This will help ensure that more space is available for visitors coming into the town to shop, dine, and access local services — contributing to the continued vitality of our town centre.
