Hours: 12 per week
Starting salary: in the region of £15.56 per hour (SCP 15) depending on experience
We have an immediate need for administrative support within the Town Council office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a community-minded individual to play an important part in the effective day-to-day running of local services for the community.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position for 12 months. Subject to review, the role may become permanent. Responsibilities include managing allotment tenancies, cemetery burials and deeds, and general administrative support. This job is varied and hands-on, requiring travel around the parish to complete inspections, meet contractors, or attend meetings of the council and committees, which will involve some evening work.
This position suits someone who is confident dealing with the public, able to work independently, and well-organised with good IT skills. Experience of local government would be an advantage although not essential as training will be provided.
