There are changes to bin collections over the holiday period.
Northleach’s usual “everything” collection day for recycling and general waste is a Thursday. Therefore, the last collection before Christmas will be on Thursday 19th December.
A food waste only collection is scheduled for Saturday 28th December, two days later than usual as crews catch up after the bank holidays.
The next “everything” collection will take place on Saturday 4th January.
Normal service resumes from Monday 6th January.
Green bins garden waste collections are suspended from Tuesday 24 December and will resume on Tuesday 7 January 2025.

Christmas Tree Collection
If you subscribe to the garden waste service, you can leave your real Christmas tree at the kerbside for collection. Please follow these steps:
- Cut your tree into manageable sections and place the pieces in your green bin, ensuring the lid can close.
- For smaller trees (6 feet and under), cut them in half.
- For trees over 6 feet, cut them into three sections.
To make it easier for all households to dispose of their trees, Cotswold District Council has partnered with three local garden centres to provide convenient drop off points:
- Dobbies Garden Centre, Cirencester, GL7 6EU
- Batsford Garden Centre, Batsford, GL56 9QB
- Hillier Garden Centre, Lechlade, GL7 3DP
Trees need to be dropped off by Friday 20 January and will go on to be composted.
