The Death of the Duke of Edinburgh

Mayor of Northleach with Eastington Town Council Robert Platts has made the following statement:

“Northleach with Eastington Town Council joins the nation in mourning the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. A major national figure for more than seven decades, his legacy will live on through the many charitable endeavours that he shaped and inspired. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the Royal Family. On behalf of the residents of the parish, we send our condolences.”

In accordance with public health advice and the wishes of the Royal Family, physical condolence books will not be made available to the public at this time. Residents who would like to pay their respects are directed to the official condolence book at the royal.uk website.

A national one-minute silence will take place at 3pm on Saturday 17 April 2021.
