No pedestrian access on old A40

We have been made aware that due to further landslips the pedestrian access on the old A40 (closed road) has been closed until further notice.  Please see further details below:

The consensus is that the TTRO which is the legal document for the road closure prohibits all unauthorised vehicular and pedestrian traffic within its confines.
The Project Manager also referred to new cracking which has developed over the last week within the carriageway directly adjacent to the footpath.
This cracking is indicative of the start of a new slip which could be at risk of a sudden failure, presenting a significant hazard to anyone potentially using the footpath.
The carriageway and footpath are to remain closed and all public access prevented until remediation has been successfully completed – The likelihood for completion of this scheme could be Autumn 2020.
