The results of the nominations for the May elections are now out. Our parish is uncontested meaning there were fewer nominations than seats, so candidates for the Town Council are elected unopposed. There were two nominations for the District Council seat, which will be subject to contested election on 2nd May.
All nine current town councillors submitted nominations and are elected unopposed. Although this is good news for the Town Council in terms of continuity, it still leaves us with two vacancies. The council will be looking to co-opt to fill the vacancies; please let the clerk know if you are interested.
