The Council manages and maintains various areas around Northleach on behalf of other organisations, some of whom pay for this service.
Grass verges – The Town Council organises the cutting of grass verges as part of the town’s grass cutting and ground maintenance contract. Some areas are the responsibility of Gloucestershire Highways who pay the Council 8p per metre to cut twice per year.
Allotments – The allotment at Mill End is owned by Fields in Trust (previously National Playing Fields Association) and managed by the Council who then lease the site to the members of Northleach Nangles Allotments Association.
King George V Playing Field – The playing field is owned by the town through the King George V Playing Field Trust. The Council organises the grass cutting of the playing field as part of the town’s grass cutting and ground maintenance contract.
Wills and Hamilton Meadows – Hamilton Meadow, along the river beyond the playing field, is owned by Fields in Trust and managed by the Town Council. Wills Meadow (the Water Meadow), adjacent to Eastington Road, is also owned by Fields in Trust and managed by the Town Council.
Churchyard – The churchyard has been closed to new burials, and is now the responsibility of the Town Council. The Town Council also manages and administers burials in the cemetery.
