10.30 AM – Civic Service in Church of St Peter and St Paul.

Wednesday 7th May:
7 PM – 8 PM – Vigil of peace
in the Church.

Thursday 8th May:
8:00 AM – Town Crier will read a proclamation on the Market Place.
6:30 PM – Bell ringing from the Church Tower.
9:30 PM – The beacon on the playing field will be lit. A lamp light of peace will be carried to the War Memorial and illuminated all through the night.

Saturday 10th May 🌸🌸🌸
1–4 PM – A VE DAY FETE is planned on the King George V Playing Field, featuring a produce and craft show, 1940s music, dog show, history display, community choir, scarecrow competition, and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, and chairs to create a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere. Tea tent, BBQ and ice cream.
