The playing field and pavilion are owned and managed by the Town Council. However, the land is held in trust as a memorial to King George V as part of the Fields in Trust scheme.
All councillors are trustees of the King George V Playing Field Trust. Meetings of the Trust are held separately from the Town Council. All of the Trust’s records and finances must also be maintained separately. The Trustees usually meet six times a year at the Westwoods Centre.
Draft minutes are unsigned and should not be relied upon.
