The Arts Society Northleach Lectures
The Arts Society Northleach brings people together through a shared curiosity for the arts. Our members come from a wide area and we are a very friendly group who very much welcome new members.
Come and hear expert speakers share their specialist knowledge. We meet at The Westwoods Centre in Northleach at 10.50am on the third Thursday of the month – with tea and coffee served from 10.15am.
Walkies with Hogarth – the artist and his dogs with Lars Tharp
William Hogarth liked dogs. He depicts over forty-five of them in his paintings, scampering about, often up to no good. This talk will show us the world as seen through Hogarth and his dogs’ eyes. Lars Tharp has spoken widely since his 1986 debut on the BBC Antiques Roadshow about the vast universe of clay and ceramics as well as the world and works of William Hogarth.
Admission for non-members is £8.00 on the door.
