As part of the celebrations taking place for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, Northleach with Eastington Town Council is hosting a Street Party for all residents. The aim is to bring the whole town together to mark this once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

On Sunday 5 June 2022 Northleach with Eastington Town Council is hosting a Platinum Jubilee Street Party to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s remarkable 70th year on the throne and you’re invited!
Join us for an opportunity to get together with friends old and new while enjoying food, fun and festivities in the heart of our town.
All entertainment, activities and competitions are free of charge and we hope there will be something for everyone. Street party food will be provided at the tables on the High Street, please bring your own to add to the feast. Water and squash available and other drinks may be purchased from local cafes/bars or brought with you.
You can also take part in the:
- Colouring Competition: Enter through school, pick up a colouring sheet from local shops or download the colouring sheet here, and return to the Council office by Weds 1 June.
- Fancy Dress Competition: Join the parade at 2:30pm on Sun 5 June. Open to all ages, with two categories: children (with a theme of ROYAL) and adults (age 16 and over, pick any decade from the Queen’s reign).
- Jubilee Cake Competition: Download and complete a competition entry form then deliver your cake to the judging area by midday.
- Guess How Many Balloons in a Mini: Win a hamper from WJ Castle.
- General Prize Draw: Enter on the day to win a meal for 4 at the Wheatsheaf Inn and many other fabulous prizes.

Midday – Grand opening by the Mayor and colouring competition prize awards

12:15pm – Paige and the Red Shift
1:00pm – Storytelling with Chloë
1:45pm – Paige and the Red Shift
2:30pm – Fancy dress parade
2:50pm – Winners announced
3:00pm – Town photo in the Market Place
Important information: Please note that the High Street and Market Place will be closed for the duration of the event and there will be no parking on site. The event starts at midday but sections of the High Street and Market Place will be closed from 9am so we can set up the tables and entertainment and the road will re-open at 5pm. Please park considerately elsewhere in the town to maintain access for the emergency services, especially along Fortey Road. We encourage everyone to walk to the event if they can. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. In case of bad weather, the event will move inside the church.
