Northleach Historical Society – Our Ancient Woodlands

We all enjoy a walk through the woodlands of the Cotswolds – but do we know their history? John Heathcott, a Cotswold Warden and member of the Woodland Trust, takes us into the landscapes of the past to identify ancient woodlands of oak, ash, sycamore and silver birch which have existed here for four hundred years or more, as well as describing how these historic woods with their paths and trails are maintained today.
