Northleach Historical Society: The Gunpowder Plot
Remember Remember the 5th of November, Gunpowder, Treason and Plot…
Gareth Howell takes us through the infamous conspiracy, and asks whether the government may have been complicit for its own reasons. The story begins with the accession of King James, then explores whether the plot could have succeeded and what the consequences might have been if it had. Gareth, a history teacher, recently moved to Gloucester after being a popular speaker in Nottingham for over a decade.
