Creative Women in the Cotswold Arts and Crafts Movement
3 May @ 7:30 pm
£3
The Arts and Crafts Movement flourished in the Cotswolds between 1880 and 1920, not least thanks to William Morris at Kelmscott.
As Dr Katherine Bradley explains, many talented women also contributed, including Morris’ daughter the embroiderer and designer May Morris, whose portrait was painted by Dante Gabriel Rossetti; the bookbinder Katharine Adams; the Painswick textile designers Phyllis Barron and Dorothy Larcher; and the enamellist May Partridge.
Members free. Visitors welcome £3.
