Cotswold Festival of Music – Bluegrass / Folk Evening

For October, we are pleased to announce an expanded Bluegrass / Folk evening led by the Charlotte Carrivick Band at The Wheatsheaf on October 24^th, combined with a terrific dinner. For those who attended our event with the Carrivick Sisters in March, this will be an expanded version of that very successful evening with Charlotte’s expanded band including fabulous musicians on double bass, banjo, fiddle, guitar, and dobro. Tickets will be available to book via the Wheatsheaf from summer 2025.

Prepare for an unforgettable evening of toe-tapping rhythms, stellar musicianship, and delicious food in The Wheatsheaf’s warm and lively setting.

Bryan Sutton, the leading American bluegrass guitarist said, “What I love is the fundamental quality of Charlotte’s tone and rhythm.  She is an innovative fresh voice in flatpicking.  She has spent years of practice and study embracing what can be beautiful in flatpicking and has found her sound within this art.”  When asked what led him to hire her as an instructor at his camp, Bryan said, “I am always looking for players who are as passionate and caring as instructors as they are players, and she checked all of those boxes.”
