We are delighted to report that Northleach Play Area Project has been selected for Tesco Bags of Help Grant scheme. Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive a cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant. Our project is one of 3 shortlisted for voting in March and April. Customers should receive one token per transaction (of any value) to enable them to vote for a project in stores. (You can’t vote when you shop online.)

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 (all raised from the 5p bag levy) being awarded to local community projects. The public vote in store determines who should receive the £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 awards. More information at www.tesco.com/carrier-bags/.
