Town Council Newsletter May 2014

Annual General Meeting – Thursday 22nd May, 7pm in the Westwoods Centre.
This is the annual meeting where the Council agrees members of the committees and elects a Chair and Vice Chair to conduct its business for the year. All members of the Public are very welcome.

Food Bank
We have now been collecting food donations for the North Cotswolds Food bank for over a year. Regular donations of food are left at the Westwoods on the shelves in the Foyer and these are gratefully received at the Food Bank. A list of suitable foods is in the Foyer and includes long life, non- perishable goods such as tins and packets of rice and pasta. If you would like more information on any aspect of the Food Bank, they can be contacted at foodbank@ngbc.org.uk or on 07879 375562. If you do not have email or internet access please contact us for help via the Clerk details below.

Northleach Website
The Town Council and community website has had a revamp from Pauline Rigby who will be maintaining it. The Town Council would like to thank Gill Fothergill who set it up originally and has now decided to pass it on. An exciting new addition is the much requested Northleach diary which can be found in the “Whats On” section. Please let Pauline know on pauline.anne.rigby@gmail.com about your event so it can be added in. The only criteria are that the event is local and open to the general public. Information about the Town Council and Northleach in general is available and more content is planned. If you are involved in any clubs or groups please check that your contact details and website information are correct.

Councillor Vacancy
Cllr Neil Fletcher has decided to step down from the Town Council with immediate effect. Details of filling the vacancy will follow in due course. If you are interested please contact the Clerk. The Town Council and staff would like to thank Neil for all his hard work over the last few years. Neil was the Chairman for several years and a key member of the Property Committee that oversees work around the Town. He was instrumental in many key decisions and will be remembered in particular for Fletchers Folly.

Cat Crompton, Town Clerk
