Current Weather Conditions:
East:    Level fall of 5cm to 10cm across the area. Up to 20cm on higher ground
West:     South Forest Area – Level fall of 8cm to 13cm across the area. North Forest Area – Level fall of 12cm to 16cm across the area
Central:  Level fall of 5cm throughout and upto 20cm on high ground

Today’s forecast;

Morning update 0600hrs: recent drop in temps, leading to finer snow, though some heavier falls in isolated and higher areas.  This will continue to fall throughout the morning easing by mid day. This is likely to add a further few cms to the current snow levels although on the whole the worst of the weather has passed over the County.

Current/Recent Treatments:
East: Salting and ploughing on all key routes (main roads) since the early hrs to aid traffic movement.
West: Continuing to plough priority routes. Arranging a 20g run on priority routes at 06.00hrs..
Central: Salting and ploughing on all key routes (main roads) since the early hrs to aid traffic movement.

Proposed actions during the day/night:
East:     All areas with a crew change around 07:00, situation to be reviewed based on feedback from drivers and updated weather forecast
West:     All areas with a crew change around 07:00, situation to be reviewed based on feedback from drivers and updated weather forecast
Central:  All areas with a crew change around 07:00, situation to be reviewed based on feedback from drivers and updated weather forecast

Network Risks:   
East:  All main roads passable with extreme care, side roads with a covering of snow, care.  A436 and Leckhampton Hill are open after closures overnight.  However ice is an issue at some locations
West:     B4432 Symonds Yat – closed Majority of key route network (main roads) passable with extreme care, Priority routes passable with extreme care. Despite salting / ploughing hills continue to be problematic as snow continues to cover road surfaces. however steeper inclines remain very difficult. Roads off main roads have a covering of snow over the ice.
Central: Urban areas passable with care.
All A and B roads remain open but care is required and extreme care on any inclines.
Limited closures on some steep C roads on primary network.

Secondary routes and routes off main road network very difficult and will be impassable on any steep slopes.
