Administration Assistant
The Town Council has a vacancy for an Administration Assistant to support the Clerk and the Council on a part time basis. It’s a really interesting role and covers a range of duties including admin tasks, Cemetery records, playground checks and projects.  Contact the clerk for more details.

Food Bank
Donations for the North Cotswold Food Bank continue to be made at the Westwoods where there is a space in the foyer for suitable foods to be left. These donations are taken on a regular basis to the Food Bank. Please only leave non–perishable foods in cans and packets as they are unable to accept cakes, breads, fruits or vegetables.

Mobile Library
The new public sector mobile library service will make its first visit to Northleach on 2nd January. The vehicle has been refurbished and modernised and for the first time it now includes a satellite and computer for internet access. Customers will be able to use the virtual library services as well as access the internet as they would in a static library. It will visit on a regular four-week cycle and the length of each stop has been increased to give customers more time to make use of the PC, browse the book shelves or to find out information from other public sector services.

The service will stop in Northleach Market Place, 1.45 – 4.15pm on the following days: 2nd and 30th January; 27th February; 27th March; 24th April; 22nd May and 19th June.

Question of the Month? Where can I see details of Northleach’s Housing Development strategy? There is a display including a map in the Foyer at the Westwoods. Please note that nothing has been finalised yet and this display is to help communicate Cotswold District Council’s core strategy and suggested areas for development within Northleach.

Next Meeting:
Thursday 24th January 2013 – Town Council Meeting, followed by KGV Meeting
Tuesday 15th January 2013 – Finance Committee Meeting
Both meetings start at 7pm in the Westwoods Centre
All members of the public are welcome.

Town Council Newsletter – October 2012

Plastics Collections
Each household in Northleach and Eastington should now have received their white bag for recycling rigid plastics. Our first plastics collection will take place on Thursday 11th October. Please do not stockpile more than two weeks worth of plastics before the collection date as the service may not be able to cope. The plastic recycling bin at the Westwoods Centre will be operational for the next few months if your household requires it.
Unfortunately there has been some fly tipping at this recyling point and it is now being monitored by CDC. Please do not leave any material there that is non-recyclable.

North Cotswolds Food Bank
Some of our surrounding towns and parishes are now connected with the North Cotswolds Food Bank and the network, which helps families in need is growing month on month. All the food is donated and local care professionals such as doctors, health visitors and social workers, identify and distribute foodbank vouchers. If you would like more information on any aspect of this valuable resource they can be contacted on 07879 375562. If you do not have email or internet access please contact us for help via the Clerk details below.
