Northleach C of E Primary school is situated in the historic Cotswold
wool town of Northleach. The school enjoys a large, open site with the
Church of St. Peter and St. Paul forming an impressive backdrop to our
spacious playground.
Within our school grounds we accommodate a variety of buildings. The
main Cotswold stone building dates back to 1868, when the school was
established by the Church of England. Within this building you will find
the hall, office, staff room and four new classrooms where the younger
children are based.
On the south side of the school can be found the larger Elliot
classrooms, these currently accommodate the older children. Also
situated in this part of the school grounds is the heated outdoor
swimming pool, which is used by the school during the summer months. The
children also enjoy full use of King George V playing field, which is
adjacent to the school.
As a voluntary controlled school we continue to maintain close links
with the church. The vicar visits regularly to take school assembly and
the children often prepare and lead an assembly held in the church
MISSION STATEMENT
Northleach Church of England Primary School is a caring, Christian
school, where all feel happy and secure, are valued equally and are able
to develop to their full potential.
AIMS OF THE SCHOOL
We aim to foster the all round development of every
child. The promotion of a caring and co-operative attitude is a priority,
enabling all to feel confident in themselves, the school and the
community; bearing in mind our unique environment of countryside, church
and active rural community. We aim to provide a stimulating, challenging
environment to initiate, extend and consolidate learning in order to
achieve the highest possible academic standards. We aim to provide a wide
range of learning experiences that ensure both breadth and depth of the
curriculum and which are structured to meet the individual’s needs. We aim
to give children the opportunity to develop a sense of awe, wonder and
curiosity for the world in which they live, also developing an
understanding and appreciation of the world, its needs and concerns.
