A Member of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies
Promoting the enjoyment and knowledge of the Arts, and stimulating
interest in the preservation of our cultural heritage.
NADFAS (The National Association of
Decorative & Fine Arts Societies) comprises over 330 Member
Societies and over 90,000 Members throughout the country and abroad.
The Association has as its objectives:
- the promotion and advancement of the aesthetic education of the public
- the cultivation, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine
arts,
- and the giving of aid to the preservation of our national artistic
heritage for the benefit of the public.
Each Society plans a programme of monthly lectures by eminent speakers
on a wide range of topics on all aspects of the decorative and fine
arts. They also arrange visits to museums, art galleries and places of
historic interest.
The National Association produces a twice-yearly magazine and arranges
cultural tours for members and their families.
