ST PETER & ST PAUL, NORTHLEACH CHARITABLE
TRUST NEWS
With the fund raising
appeal now coming to the end of its third year and the
original target figure of £400,000 now well within sight, it
is time to take stock of where we are and to celebrate what
has been achieved.
We certainly expect to be
able to exceed our original target, but we know it will
still not be enough to do all that needs doing to preserve
the fabric of the building. The trustees will therefore wind
up the formal appeal during the course of the year. But they
will not give up seeking to raise much needed funds for the
future. The trust will therefore change its focus to the
creation of a fund for the long term protection and
preservation of the church through the Friends organisation,
encouraging long term giving and bequests and at the same
time continuing to promote fund raising events.
In celebration of that has
been achieved so far and at the same time as an opportunity
to highlight what still needs to be achieved to secure the
long term future of the building, we are delighted to
announce two very special concerts, to be given under the
auspices of Music in Country Churches:

9 October - St Petersburg Choir
Another return visit. No one who was there will forget the
sound and atmosphere created by this wonderful Russian choir
of just sixteen singers last year. If you missed it last
time, put it in your diary now. |
